About me
Well, if I should write eventually short biography of mine that defiantly better to go back to the roots. All what I can say that roots define everything, and defiantly I am proud of my roots.
I was born in the small but happy city – Yerevan. Back in 1980 in late morning of 24 of June I was born in one of the clinic of 3rd District in small Armenian city in Soviet Socialistic Republic of Armenia. It is funny because I have been born in one country but now live in another although I never move. For the small and humbled nation like Armenian this small city seems to be very big. And it is big. Probably if I try do not go very deep in history I will mention the fact that for Armenians this was the only place in the world that they could feel like at home after 100 years of persecutions. So as far as they could involve big investments into republic from Soviet Government the first thing that have done – build magic, bright, amazing and brilliant new city. Same time old and same time very young. Even if we will forget that the city has been established 2785 years old and it is older than Rome for 50 years, we will state that it is one of the young and magically build city in the world. And the history of the city is very easy. When Alexander Tamanayan came to the Yerevan in yearly 20th he have seen the old and almost ruined town. But my respect to that great person, because he bring the dream with him and he build the dream. He was dreaming about new and bright city for his nation and he planed it not depend on Soviet Governments requests, not on market demand – but on his natural love to his country. He planed the city with deep love and all other people fall in same dream with him at that time, when in reality lot of people has been sent to Siberia – Armenia was flourish. And the most important of course was the city. City of love, city of dreamers. So I born and rise in this city, and hope now you understand why you should read all this paragraph, as it was as much important as much as I could state that I got education in Yerevan, capital of Republic of Armenia.
Soon after I have graduate my small Russian school, oh by the way I forget to say that I was last generation who where learning in Russian and got Soviet period education, I have applied for education in University. I haven’t think too much about which faculty I wish, as there was two majors that I liked: Physics and Mathematics. And as son of very good entrepreneur and great man, I immediately decide that I will study Economics and soon after that has been accepted on Yerevan State University on Faculty of Economics. From that time my life became a little more complicated but not interesting for sure. In University I can’t do what I want and very shortly I decide to escape any lecture that I don’t like. And very soon I has been invited to work in one of the biggest bank in Armenia. Working there the first thing that I have learned was that office is not place where everybody is working rather that it is place where everybody is chatting. So shortly I just let everybody be on they own and started to read, as there wasn’t so much things to do. And I graduate University with very good marks for State Exams and Dissertation. Oh by the way already at that time I was researching in the field of Internet Technologies and the name of my dissertation was “Information technology in system of global marketing”.
So, even I was working hard and I wasn’t so bad in University I choose to go to army rather than to suffer in boring Master Course. And probably it was one of the turning-point in my life. And even if I don’t wont to remember all difficult things, I will remember some good things for sure. Like that in the Army time I have won my first grant project from US government founded agency, or that I wrote book on e-commerce in my mother language. What I was doing and how I spent this time, it is absolutely different story but one thing is clear – I won that battle.
After army my career starts in real world. One day I have wake up free from any obligations to my country but same time without any future plans. So I just take the first offer that I got from employer. And fast and tighten part of my life started. In last 3 years I got from the Merchandiser (read workman) to manager of big department and eventually to consultant of eGovernance projects in Africa and Latin America. I was waking up in 8 o’clock in the morning and go to sleep at 03:00, while I spent 2 hours per that time on eating and al least one in the transport. This run was so hard and so efficiently planed that when I got the Chevening Scholarship from British Council – I said yes immediately. Even though I eventually got the job of my dream, I had a little bit more important thing which I was missing while I was running for all this every day tasks – thinking…
So here it is – now I am studying at University of Salford on MSc eGovernance and happy that I have plenty time to think and work.
