VivaCell-MTS and APMA launches project management educational program series in 7 universities
My NGO (APMA) together with VivaCell-MTS starts a new series of educational programs.
The ability to manage projects is a precondition for project implementation and achievement of anticipated results. It implies synthesis of a number of processes, particularly, setting goals, identifying goals, developing mechanisms for their management, supervision and summing up of outcomes.
Professors from seven Armenian universities will have an opportunity to get large body of knowledge about project management in the shortest possible period of time. Educational programs will let them explore aptitudes of effective management and get new skills.
“People discover their true professional aptitudes within the course of work. However, the understanding of project management can sometimes be inconsistent with the reality, because of the possible risks. This will definitely create necessity in taking relevant steps to control the situation. Professionals get such skills within the course of time. However, more successful are those, who have the skills to see problems on various stages of the project and to solve them the right way. The training course supported by VivaCell-MTS aims particularly at that,” says VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian.
With support of Armenia’s leading mobile operator the training course materials will be summed up in a book planned for publication in the near future.
Book is coming very soon!

Kinderwall experimental project and an innovative-educational solution aimed to increase children’s computer awareness kicked off on June 1.
This project is being implemented by Armenian Project Management Association (APMA).
“We plan to place 2 computer terminals in a wall of Gorayq village’s board building. There are a lot of children near there. Computers will have Internet connection, licensed Windows starter, browser, some standard programs and games. We will set cameras on terminals to see and to follow how children get to know computer themselves,” APMA president Albert Poghosyan detailed to a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.
According to Mr. Poghosyan, children don’t need to be taught; they can learn something by themselves and will teach the others.
“This is the goal of Kinderwall. If you give a computer to elder people, they will choose a language they prefer for using it. Children, on the contrary, will get to know computer without knowing the language. Kinderwall is a social-cultural and innovative idea, idea of alternative education which we want to develop,” he said.
“We placed different filters so children can’t use emails, chats, social networks, porn websites and other stuff which can cause dependence,” Mr. Poghosyan said, adding that upon completion of the project they will prepare a research-report on the efficiency of the project.
Terminals have touchscreens and iron keyboards and will work 24 hours. Up to 2 Megabit internet connection will be provided by VivaCell-MTS. Financial sponsor of the project is Geoteam company, which used to implement other social projects in Gorayq village before. The company allocated AMD 2.5 million for Kinderwall project.
Before launching the project targeting children aged 6-12, APMA will have conduct seminars for the parents to introduce the aim and details.
“If they will achieve good results, APMA will seek assistance for funding Kinderwall project for 150 village in Armenia during next 3 years.
Kinderwall project also has a website – kinderwall.am.
Kinderwall idea belongs to Indian doctor Mitra. According to his calculation, if Kinderwall is set in different cities of India, about 500 million children will have basic computer knowledge in 5 years.

Millennials – Generation “WE”
Listen Closely
It’s the Sound of Your World Changing Forever
The new book about our Generation – Generation “Millennials”.
Totally new Ideology for US generation. But all the parameters they claim is the same as we do.
Check the Vimeo video:
Generation WE: The Movement Begins… from Generation We on Vimeo.
Millennials are the largest generation in American history. Born between 1978 and 2000, they are 95 million strong, compared to 78 million Baby Boomers. They are independent—politically, socially, and philosophically—and they are spearheading a period of sweeping change in America and around the world. No one knows the Millennials like Eric Greenberg. In Generation We, Greenberg explains the emerging power of the Millennial Generation, shows how they (and their supporters from other generations) are poised to change our nation and our world for the better, and lays out a powerful plan for progressive change that today’s youth is ready to implement.
